What To Do In Baguio City During Baguio Flower Festival

Panagbenga or the Baguio Flower Festival is fast approaching, and I'm pretty sure a lot of visitors will be here again. Aside from watching the Grand Float Parade and the Grand Street Dancing Parade, here are some activities that you can do in Baguio City during the flower festival:

1. Indulge in an aromatic coffee break or a frappe break at Beans Talk Bistro. Skip your favorite Starbucks coffee and try something new this Panagbenga. Visit Beanstalk Baguio. Located at City Center Hotel at Session Road, the cafe is perfect for viewing the Grand Street Dancing Parade and the Grand Float Parade and they've also got affordable frappes. Who knows it might be a hot day during the parade and a cold frappe is just perfect for you!  Try also their Cinnamon Bun.

2. Enjoy a hot bath at Pooten Resort. Located at KM.16 Asin road, Nangalisan, Tuba, Benguet, this Malacanang Palace-inspired resort is only 30 minutes drive from Baguio City. My friends and I had fun when we visited this place and I'm pretty sure you will as well. You can also stay overnight here with your friends or family. 3. Experience Hongkong Taste at Hongkong Seafood Restaurant. If you're into seafood and you want it "Hongkong style" this time, Hongkong Seafood Restaurant is perfect for you. 4. Side trip at "Sitio La Presa" at Mount Santo Tomas. If you're a fan of ABS-CBN's teleserye "Forevermore," then, you should not miss Sitio La Presa. Sitio La Presa is a 2-hour drive from Baguio City proper. For more details on how to go there, please visit my blog entry by clicking here.

5. Freshen up yourself at Zen Tea. With millions of visitors in the City, a relaxing tea break is pretty much needed. Grab a cup of cold tea at Zen Tea! Visit them at the roof-deck of Porta Vaga Commercial Center (near the Baguio Cathedral).

6. Read books at Under the Tree Bookcafe while enjoying your favorite coffee.  My initial reaction when we entered Under the Tree, a "bookcafe" located at Baden Powell Hotel," was "Hmmm...I didn't know that this exists." Because I'm an occasional "book-lover", I've quickly developed "love" for this place. under the Tree is definitely perfect for book-lovers. Under the Tree BookCafe is located at #26 Baden Powell Inn, Governor Pack Rd., 2600 Baguio City.

7. Try Ukay-ukay or Wagwag at Harrison Road at night. Life in Baguio doesn't end after the sun sets. The night market will always be an attraction for tourists and locals. On top of ukay-ukay, you may also try some street food - a "goto" under the G-shaped overpass is  must! We've tried it before and I loved the experience.

8. Try Canopy Ride at Camp John Hay. Enjoy your first Canopy Ride in the City of Pines!
