The Baguio Flower Festival 2013 Grand Float Parade

Today is a very tiring day. Why? It's  because we watched the Baguio Flower Festival Grand Float Parade! And guess what? According to news reports, there were more than two million who watch the parade - which, in my opinion, obviously made Baguio a bit "hotter" than usual. Haha! Anyway, despite the crowd, Theresa and I still managed to get "a good location" near Casa Vallejo where we can watch better than other expectators.

The parade started past seven in the morning and it ended past nine. Right after the parade, Theresa and I joined the crowd - which I find cool because it takes patience to be in a sea of people. Then, we dropped by Zen Tea. I had Vanity Tea while Theresa got NaiCha. After our "tea break," we went to SM City Baguio and we had lunch at Gogi Nara, a Korean restaurant. We also dropped by Sports Central, Photoline and SM Supermarket before heading home.

The Lion Head! If you're gonna pass by Kennon Road going to Baguio, you'll see the Lion's Head. I like this. By the way, this year's Panagbenga theme is "Blooming Odyssey." Panagbenga is a Kankana-ey (dialect widely used by Cordillerans in the Northern Philippine boondocks, specifically people from the Mountain Province and people from the Northern part of the Benguet Province) term meaning “a season for blossoming; a time for blooming."

Celebrity guests: Cast of GMA's Indio Bong Revilla on GMA's float. Definitely a crowd-drawer. A bit blurry because I'm not yet familiar using Theresa's cam. Haha! Thanks Theresa for the photo.

ABS-CBN's float is this year's "best crowd-drawer" (Sorry for the term. I don't have enough "literary power right now). I heard people "screaming out loud" when they saw the cast of Kailangan ko'y Ikaw Robin Padilla and PBB love team Melason. Melai is funny.

Smart's float is one of the crowd's favorite! They've got "Jump In" by American Idol Season 11 finalist Jessica Sanchez and Allen Pineda Lindo of Black Eyed Peas. Live More with Smart!

We also spotted Mr. Pure Energy in M Lhullier float. He's also one of the crowd's favorite - I guess for "thirtyish" and up. Hehehe!

The cast of Le Monet! Joke! Hahaha! LE MONET by Hotel Rembrandt was designed in honor of the great French painter Claude Monet who became famous for his colorful and realistic landscapes. It is one of the few hotels that still enjoy the luxury of being surrounded by stately Baguio pine trees. Located in Camp John Hay it was opened to the public in time for Baguio’s Panagbenga Festival.

Tea break at Zen Tea. I had Vanitea Large while Theresa had Nai Cha Large. Zen Tea is located at the roofdeck of Porta Vaga mall.

Love affair: this one represents the love affair of the amiable Nikki Lee with her Korean hubby who is in charged of the kitchen. Gogi Nara is at the Lower Ground Floor of SM City Baguio, Luneta Hill, Baguio City.
The crowd! It's almost "spaceless" at Session Road. According to news reports, there were more than to million visitors watched the grand float parade. That's a lot!
