PRC Chairman Richard Gordon said, the Red Cross Million Volunteer is aimed at recognizing the important role of volunteers in the humanitarian field, especially in times of disasters and other emergencies. With the buffet of disasters plaguing the country year in and year out, our country has to be prepared by getting more volunteers and training them with disaster response skills, according to Gordon. "This is our objective in the Million Volunteer Run," Gordon said.
The Red Cross Million Volunteer Run is open to people of all ages from all walks of life. It will be held in in Metro Manila and in all key cities in the country.
