Revisiting Vizco's Restaurant and Cake Shop

Rainy days can be boring, and sometimes it ignites our "desire for food" that you cannot resist no matter how hard you try! And after all of your effort to contain yourself from not eating because you're on "diet" or for whatever reasons you might have, you will eventually discover that you're eating more than what you expected! What an irony! Anyway, here are some of the additional photos taken during our stay at Vizco's Restaurant and Cake Shop:

Rain, rain go away! Come again another day! Because of heavy rain and our gym session was cancelled, we decided to drop by Vizco's Restaurant and Cake Shop for our "brunch." Vizcos Restaurant and Cake Shop is owned and operated by J.V. Dizon. It is located at #5 EDT Building, Session Road, Baguio City.

My all-time favorite for dessert! Vizco's Decadent Cake for Php90 only. It has an intense, deep chocolate flavor that is truly decadent. A must-try for cake-lovers if you're planning to visit Vizcos.

Vizco's Beef Stroganoff for Php198.00! Did I spell it right? LOL! Stroganoff or Stroganov is a Russian dish of sautéed pieces of beef served in a sauce with smetana or sour cream. From its origins in 19th-century Russia, it has become popular around the world, with considerable variation from the original recipe.

Vizco's Chicken Vinaigrette for Php152! Perfect for chicken and veggy lovers. Vinaigrette (/vɪnəˈɡrɛt/) is a mixture (emulsion) of oils, such as soybean oil, canola oil, olive oil, corn oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil, peanut oil, grape seed oil, and vinegar, sometimes flavored with herbs, spices, and other ingredients. It is used most commonly as a salad dressing, but also as a cold sauce or marinade.

Vizco's Marinara for Php240.00. Marinara (mariner's) sauce is a southern Italian tomato sauce usually made with tomatoes, garlic, herbs, onions and sometimes seafood. However, its many variations can include the addition of capers, olives and spices. This sauce is also widely used in Italian-American cuisine, which has diverged significantly from its Old World origins.

Vizco's Chicken Cordonbleau for Php185. Chicken Cordon Bleu is a dish composed of chicken breasts, ham, and Swiss cheese. The ham and Swiss cheese are arranged on top of the chicken breast and rolled together then dredged in bread crumbs.

Vizco's Red Velvet Cake for Php60 only. A red velvet cake is a popular cake with a dark red, bright red or red-brown color. It is usually prepared as a layer cake topped with cream cheese icing.

Vizco's Waffles for Php98.00. Perfect for waffles-lovers! A waffle is a batter-based cake cooked in a waffle iron patterned to give a distinctive and characteristic shape. Waffles are eaten throughout the world, particularly in Belgium and the United States. Common toppings are strawberries, chocolate, sugar, honey, syrups, ice cream, and pieces of other fruits.

A view "from the inside" of Vizco's Restaurant and Cake Shop! Rainy and foggy morning at Session Road. Building in photo is Laperal Building if I'm not mistaken.

Undecided at the second floor of Vizco's. Too many choices which is why I can't decide what to eat! And guess what? I ended up ordering Chicken Cordonbleau because I don't eat pork. By the way, you should also try Vizco's Fish Fillet in Bercy Sauce for Php225.00. It's perfect for fish-lovers. Unfortunately, I forgot to  take photo of it but I will next time.

Vizco's is famous for their delicious international dishes, cakes and pastries. Their signature dishes are mostly Italian, pizza and pasta. Meals costs from Php150 to Php300. Vizcos Restaurant and Cake Shop is owned and operated by J.V. Dizon. It is located at #5 EDT Building, Session Road, Baguio City.
