Academy-award winning actress Jennifer Hudson paid tribute to Whitney Houston in the 54th Grammy Awards at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The crowd was silenced with her rendition of "I Will Always Love You". I Will Always Love You was also performed by Whitney Houston in a 1992 American romantic-thriller film, The Bodyguard, starring Kevin Costner and the late singer.
@TheGRAMMYs tweeted about her performance: "Single spotlight on Jennifer Hudson @IAMJHUD as she sings the first notes of "I Will Always Love You" Whitney Houston - the crowd is silent."
Houston, 48, was a six-time Grammy winner who performed at the Grammys eight times between 1986 and 2000. Her most recent Grammy win was in 1999 for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for “It’s Not Right But It’s Okay.” (Photo credit: Google Images)
