Everything has been set! All we need to do is prepare ourselves for today's 36th National MILO Marathon, which will officially kick-off at 5:30am today at Burnham Park here in Baguio City. Approximately 6000 runners from different divisions are expected to join the said event. The 5-kilometer race distance has the biggest registrants so far, according to local race coordinator Che Alberto, reaching to 4,200, which will comprise bulk of the participants while the 3-kilometer race distance has lured some 1,000 runners of different ages. Below is my race number:
This year, the theme of the MILO Marathon is “Iba’t ibang hinahabol, iisang takbuhan”, in celebration of the various aspirations of runners who participate in the race. Some run for prize and honor, while others run for fun and fitness, but whatever the reason for running, the 36th National MILO Marathon runners will also be running for a good cause.
