By Aris E. EnconadoI spent Day 3 in Bicol at Dangkalan Beach in Barangay Ariman in Gubat, Sorsogon with my sister and cousins. Unfortunately, it was a gloomy day because of ITCZ. It didn't rain but strong waves greeted us when we reached the seashore. Except for some fishermen and some "local surfers," I didn't see other visitors at the vicinity so we took the perfect spot for camping. We built our tent a few meters away from the shoreline.

It's a sunless day at Dangkalan Beach! |
Located at Barangay, Panganiban in Gubat, Sorsogon, Dangkalan Beach is gifted with powdery sand and it's also perfect for surfing, similar with Lola Sayong Eco Surf Camp in Buenavista, Sorsogon. It's located a few meters away from the "plaza" and can be accessed through tricycle, jeepney and/or private vehicles. As of this writing, there's no entrance fee for visiting the beach.

Yours truly at Dangkalan Beach, enjoying the powdery sand. |

Reunited with my sister and cousins. Cottage rental is currently unavailable at Dangkalan Beach so we're fortunate that I brought my tent. |
|
This is locally known as "kalasakas." |
|
At the "rocky" part of the beach. This is where seashells (tagunhasun) are found. |

Our tent is "up!" Big thanks to Lazada Philippines for shipping my tent in a very good condition. |
