Filipino boxing icon Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez will meet again in the ring on December 8th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The Los Angeles Times first reported the deal had been completed.
"Two sources close to the negotiations, but unauthorized to speak publicly about the deal,that Pacquiao (54-4-2, 38 knockouts) will fight Marquez Dec. 8 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas after rejecting a rematch with Timothy Bradley," according to LA Times.
Top Rank promoter Bob Arum confirmed that Pacquiao would return to the ring on Dec. 8 but declined to specify the opponent. He will officially announce the fight on September 18, Tuesday in a press conference in Los Angeles.
“We reached an agreement,” Arum said. “It’s being drawn up now. As far as who he will be fighting that will be announced on Tuesday. But everything is done, finished.”
